Balázs Sánta is a Hungarian director and visual artist, founder of Hajime! Studio.
He graduated from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME). During his university years, he served as Head of Media at the award-winning independent theatre company KRÉTAKÖR and was lead VFX artist on Parfüm by Boggie. His early VFX credits also include lead artist roles on the Student Oscar-nominated short film Földiek and the award-winning music video Rules by Freakin’ Disco.
After graduating, Balázs was invited to lecture at MOME’s Media Design Department, where he has since taught visual storytelling, VFX art, and post-production. He was also a visiting lecturer at the Scenography Department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, teaching animation studies for nine years.
In recent years, he has worked as a director and creative producer on music videos including Körtánc and Bárcsak by Slow Village, and Elephant by SABW. He has designed animations and stage visuals for Pinocchio and The Man Who Lost Time at Vígszínház, The Soldier’s Tale at Trafó House of Contemporary Arts, and Quartet for the End of Time at the Liszt Academy. As VFX supervisor, he worked on the feature film Hyenas, scheduled for theatrical release in autumn 2026. His animation design for Budapest Puppet Theatre’s production of Madách’s The Tragedy of Man is also set to premiere in Q4 2026.
